No problem, If you'v got photos of the rear window mounts
from the inside, that would help me. Try posting those if
you have some in the rear window thread.

Thanks

Some A$$ hole on eBay ruined a perfect picture by
adding some crap onto it. I did what I could to
restore it, but tattle tale marks remain.

It is always my pleasure to share photos, even
though some times I need to doctor them up.

Please enjoy this, I put work into it.

Shawkrider, I was looking back a bit here+ saw your sketch of the shark- Nice work. It came out great. If you ever decide to part with your car, let me know- I'll take good care of her. I have a 6 car garage that she can be comfortable + pampered in. I miss mine.. As for your pedal, that is nothing to do with the Maco. The Maco stuff is only body related. The pedals and they're location is facory. As for the big feet thing... I have a size 14, so what does that mean....haha. And I have big hands. ha. Actually, I am 6'6" so fitting in a vette is fun to start with. But hey- it's a vette. That why they put T-tops on them... More headroom.. I still have more reading to do ,so there will be more followups, I'm sure..

Nahhh...

I'm keeping Dixie, shes my girl.
I have room for her in my garage
no problems.

I knew the pedal issue was a vette
thing and has nothing to do with
Maco's

I'm 5' 11" 1/2 with no problem
fitting into a vette. My only
problem was the hight of the pedals.

I wish there was something more I
could do about them. I suppose I
could take them out and weld
extentions to them and bend them back
a little but I'd like a factory look.
Nothing home concockted or African
engineered.

I have said it before but, you are new
here, you will probably find it some
where here, where I Say that "I'm never
going to sell her". "I will probably be
barried with her"

Don't be sad, I'm sure you'll find one
for your self.

I was really the wrong person to go to
for a proposition of that sort. Hell
I've only got one Maco. Hit up Randy for
that, He's got three

Hey- can't blame me for tryin'. I thought you would get a kick out of that. I did read that you want to be buried in her. I guess that is dedication. Randy must be the King- 3 of them ...Some guys have all the luck. Now for another trick- for your pedal issue- I did this on one of my biggest show trucks. You have to look at it from a different angle- What you can do , is under the carpet, you can cut plywood and use it to raise the floor. That allows you to bring your foot up to the pedals, and no-one can really tell if you do it right. The carpet if flexible enough to work over it. You can also choose this option in 1/4" intervals to see what work best. If done right, your floor can still be straight. I raised the floor in my Suburban 1/2" to hide tons of cables for a competion sound system- no-one ever questioned it. It looked factory. Let me know what you think of this idea. Class dismissed......

I use to install competion sound systems as well.
I like your idea, It's sounds like it might work,
I'll take a look and get back to ya on it.

I've had my Dixie for 5 years now and just now got
her running decently. It's really funny your timing
on the issue.

Yeah, I've always loved Stingray Corvette's and
always knew I'd get one, just wanted a special one
that wasn't common like the others. Well I finaly
found her and got her home and now, and your not the
first, people are always hitting me up to sell her
to them.

I have a friend that every time I see him, he tells
me "So when you going to sell that Maco to me"?
Like clockwork, like one of the first sentences out
of his mouth when ever we meet.

I had a mail man get out of his mail truck, walk into
my garage and gawked at it for a while before I walked
out to find some strang dude standing on my property
in my garage. It kind of pissed me off but, at the same
time it seemed nice.

Ever since then I posted a no trespassing sign with
one of my rang tagets next to it all shot to Shight.
I haven't had to worry about leaving my garage door
open during the day ever since.

Thats pretty funny- whatever works right. My dream was about the same when I was younger, then the chance came of for the shark in the late 80's. I had a choice of the shark of a built, custom early 60's vette convertible. The shark was rarer, so I took that one. It's a very long story of why I got rid of it, now I am regretting it. I didn't know John had heart trouble while we were working on my project. Part of my contract was another shark, so I figured- hey- how can I loose- I'll have him pour me another one later. Who knew... I lost. People always came up to me when I had the car. It was fun. Another way to do the floor, is (if there are too many contours) is use expandable spray foam (insulation). Sparay it on the bare floor, then the next day, after it has expanded and dried, shape it with 36 grit sandpaper, or a grinder. That way ,you can shape it however you want. Cool idea huh ?? My Suburban was undefeated in northeastern US and 5th in the world for the sound system I did in it. It took me a year to build that one. I averaged 137 decibles with 2 12" subs and a 60watt amp. Think about that for a second... (there was alot more to the system than that though).

Hey car guy, kinda off the thread topic, but if you are really seriously searching for a shark, I may part with one.

I would love to get another one, but financing right now won't permit a huge purchase. There is one for sale right now, but the price is too high for me. What do you have??? I'm listening.... How about a trade with a highly modified camaro??? (I know, but I thought I would ask. haha)...
