Just in from the garage. This 75 degree weather is great! I know it is ending Saturday, but what a rush, springtime since Christmas!
Anyway here is some progress.
This car used to belong to Fred Flintstone. First thing I did was clean it up and fiberglass over all the holes in the floor, whew!
I have modified the floor using old aluminum road signs. I cut them, bended them, and riveted them in where the old floor used to be.
The White stuff you see is Autobody seam sealer, I used it to level the floor and to seal it up. That step wasnt necessary, but It made the installation a little cleaner. When the car goes on the lift, I will undercoat the floor pans to make it look good, Definately not to hide anything, just to make it look presentable.
Installation came out pretty good.
I have some insulation to install over the floor and its ready for rugs.

Also, during this time, I have finished the door jamb area.
It is ready for primer and then its time to reinstall the door.
It came out better than hoped. Again, the white is seam sealer.
Looks like hell until it gets some paint on it.

Wow ! your crankin' along. Must be nice... I got 6 inches of snow yesterday+ spent my morning snowblowing out! I'll trade you. My projects are hibernating until spring. Although I have a big show next month. The fun part is driving there, then getting it show-ready. I cant wait to see it primered. I wish I had the money now, before you put too much into it, then you Really wont sell it, or you'll want too much. I want to see whole shots of the interior and motor. Or any more pics at this point. The floor looks great. Nice bends. I used a stop sign once too. Nice aluminum. Solid. Keep up the good work!!

Randy, checked out your new page- nice work !!- You tear them down alot more than I would want to. Looks like alot on your plate. Is that your garage, or do you work with other people there?? Is it at home? Do you do most of the work yourself?? Is it your full time gig?? Your rides will be cool when they are all done.

The garage is actually smaller than it looks its only 40 x 30.
I do all the work myself, with the exception of some mechanical assistance. I am in no great hurry to finish any car, until now.
I have built about 25 corvettes over the years, It is a hobby only, and the garage is behind my house. I have a real job. David did all the page work, he gets the credit for that, without him, we wouldnt even have a forum.
