In case you are curious, I was able to track down the only known remaining mold in the world, which was for the hood scoop section only. I acquired it and had shipped to me from Australia. It was created from the original "primary" movie car in 1983 after that car was nearly destroyed in a transport accident.

All I can say is that I have a much greater respect for anyone who starts a serious street rod project, and does their best to hang in there. I am approaching my 6th year now, and if I wasn't so close to being done I probably would have considered throwing in the towel.

If you checked out the Performance Restoration web site, those are some of the most current pics. Body work is done; car is prepped and ready for paint. I am going down there this week to insert lenses and discuss final paint strategy. I'm looking forward to getting some paint on this thing after all this effort.

Once the car is done, I will put all of my content together for what should be a spectacular Corvette Summer web site. I'm looking forward to that too, but want to wait until the car is done so I can include finished pics.
