No problem here- ask away. I like the 69's too. What a great trio you have. The prostreet will be awesome. I'd like to see that. I have wanted a tubbed car for years, but can't afford it. They look so mean on the street. There is a 73 on e-bay now pretty cheap with no motor. Wish I had the $$$. My Camaro is stashed in a corner in my garage. I start it every couple months .I wish I could drive it on the street. I would get looks all the time. Heres a couple pics of it if you haven't seen it. Definately keep in touch, Scott

Very interesting your Camaro is! Kind of hard to see the curves around the front bumper due to like a metalic shine. How is that bumper made with foum and foil tape or shapped fiberglass?

Which brings me to my next question. Did you observe Silva crafting your car? I ask because I am interested in the technics that he implamented in order to create and shape a vehical from conecpt on paper to running prototype.

Thanks

I'll be adding the other pictures to his Owner's page today. They show a little of the technic used. Very interesting.

Once they are added to forum page, I have to delete them from these messages, as we are very close to the edge of running out of allotted space.

What happened to the Silva-made hood to the Camaro?

Which one- the blue hood with the bump?? I have the hood, but the scoop was lost somewhere in his shop. I have the turbo daytona hood on it with the IROC scoops cut out for clear plexi. It isnt bolted on, as it is no good- the corners are messed up. I will cut that scoop off and mold it to the blue hood. Randy- the car is posterboard foam and aluminum tape right now. The front lights were to be handmade, but I am going to incorporate Mitsubishi eclipse front light to it somehow, and the airdam lights are going to be from a Mustang GT. David, does that mean you will remove all pics that are in the forums?? Randy- here is one pic of the 'in progress' form.(Sorry David)

I believe that was McBrain that was asking those questions.

Owner's page updated. Even though the Camaro isn't Mako/Maco related, I think it is worth taking up space because it shows a build-up in progress... one by John Silva.

David, It took a few minutes for me to find where that was- but when I did - WOW !!!! Kudos to you !!! It looks great. I love the way you laid it out. The shark page looks better too. Pic's are more together in the groups they were taken. I can't say enough!! Yet again, Great job. I sent you #$%loads of pic's + you made use of them greatly. Again- great job !! Thanks .I have 4 more albums to go through, which have a few more pic's. I'll forward them later.

So this is how you would shape a vehical before laying fiberglass down to create a mold...

Interesting

I would love to have been around to learn from the man. Some of my major interestes in life are creating cars from scratch

Yeah, it would have been very cool to watch him do the Maco. Looking at the Camaro in-progress answers my questions on how he would have done it so perfectly.

Scott, that display mechanism is something I wrote when I put up the pages for my various cars, fortunately I wrote it in a modular way so that I could just drop it into your pages. Now I'm going to convert Randy's and Johnny's pages to use the same mechanism.
