I also have another issue I needyour help with if you
think you can help. Attached is a 2 photos of a 71 AMC AMX-3.
But this isn't what concerns me, It's the silver car
adjacent to it that baffles me. To little detail resides
is this photo for me to properly ID it. The closest I
can figure is the Saab Aero X but doubts that this is
indeed it. You got any ideas. The link is that of the Saab.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bryan, thanks for posting those. Now- where to start. The first one ,red, is a Manta Montage (looks like), or ,if it is real, the McClaren. I've loved that car forever. There was a TV show that had one in it in the 80's.And it was red. It is as cool as the 917. The silver car is a stumper. The wheel look like they are a Viper item. but the rear side window is about all we can work with. The show it is in looks like an Exotic show, so it is probably foreign. Someone else might be able to help too. Got me wondering.........And yes, That car looks just like the car John was building. I saw the whole car, and that one is almost right on the money. I think I have seen that one before. I think. Cool finds.
Yeah, Hardcastle and McCormick.
I thought it was the 917 in that show though.
That show is how I learned of the 917.
I use to watch it just for the car.
I could be wrong though, it's possible.
Did you see the Saab? Cool aye!

The silver Boomerang sold at the auction last year for one million. I saw this car at local Museum(Black Hawk) in 1996, it look like a Lotus Esprit S1.
check out this website WWW.CONCORSO.COM

Hey, thanks for checking in with us Tony. Always nice
to hear from ya. Say, you wouldn't happen to know
what kind of car that is parked next to the AMX/3
in front of the gent with the camera in hand and a
duPont bag in the other, would you?
Checking out the link you posted right now.
Thanks

You know, the picture of the scoops in the side, I was going to say it looked like a shelby car, like a new GT40 or something. Glad that my mind is still a little there. You got the show right. I couldn't think of the name, but I remember him screeming around in that car pissing off the old man. It was a Manta Montage. I wanted that sooo bad back then, then found a couple when I was old enough, but still couldn't afford it. Still can't. It is kind close to the 917, but smoother lines. here is a couple more

Manta Montage is a kit car so whats the name of the real car?

Well the one in the show was actually a "Coyote" but the only real car, if not a Manta, would be some kind of McClaren car.
Yeah, back in the day when they all used kit cars for shows instead
of the real cars. Alot like Miami Vice, all kit F cars.

Did you see photos of my Vector in his website? He is a Vector freak, cool guy met him at the Ferrari of Los Gatos few years ago. Check this website out www.autozotica.com and see my Testarossa caught on fire :(
tony ta
Yeah as a matter of fact I did see it, just didn't mention it cause
I believed you knew about it being there on the site.
Sorry to hear about your Testy-rost-a. :P
Thanks for the link, it appears that alot of the photos are down
and that nobody has updated the site in quite some time.
Your Testarossa photo is broken in the Memoriam Of Departed Machines.
Did insurance cover it?

Yeh- toasted-anything isn't a good idea. I saw a jet-ski on e-bay last night I saw that had a fuel tank fire. That must have been a scary ride!!
I could imagine, fire on water or HELL & Icewater. /shared-images/view/2668/9fe69b38bc6288a01dd975c02378b4de8399a2e5537b055c580e67397bd20297.png
