MakoShark2.com was created with the goal of becoming the Web's finest resource for alternative Corvette enthusiasts. We focus on the Mako Shark II and its replicas, but we encourage all Corvette owners, and all automotive enthusiasts, to join in.
We want to provide a community where free, open discussion is allowed and encouraged. There are no politics here and no ulterior motives. If you have an opinion, let it be heard - your supporters and dissidents will only strengthen the discussion. That does not mean flame wars are permitted: if we remain civil towards each other at all times, things will go very smoothly. We hope you enjoy your time here.
When you open a page, the website records the page, the time, the address it was linked from (if your browser sends one), your browser's description of itself and your IP address. We use this to see which pages are read and to protect the site: addresses that probe for weaknesses are blocked. These records are not shared or sold.
When you send a message from the Contact page, we keep your name, email address, the car you named (if any) and your message, and use them only to reply to you. Any information MakoShark2.com collects from you will never be provided to anyone outside of MakoShark2.com.
People invited to write here (comments on the Blog or Articles, posts in the Community) sign in with a LogMinds account. Your password is checked by the LogMinds account service and never reaches or is kept by this website. While you are signed in, the website keeps your account's name and email address in your session.
The website sets a session cookie, which keeps you signed in and protects its forms, and a visitor cookie, which lets it count a like or a view once per browser. Neither is used for advertising. There are no ads here.
Pages load their fonts from Google Fonts and their styles and scripts from the jsDelivr CDN, so those services see your IP address when your browser fetches them.
