The damage to Einar Valsjø, that someone had set fire to his amazingly beautiful Corvette Mako Shark, and the car burned down to the ground. But now Valsjø has come back, even stronger if possible, with a new Corvette Mako Shark number three in the series, one of perhaps the world’s finest show cars.
The Car
Yes, we don’t think we are overstating it when we say exactly this. Here comes Einar Valsjø at Gardermoen during this year’s Drag Race. Just take a look at this paint job on this fantastic Corvette Mako Shark.

It took almost four months to paint this car. It used 4,600 meters of tape for masking. There are 27 layers of clear coat applied, 60 liters of clear coat in total on this car alone.

All the details on Einar Valsjø’s Mako Shark are incredible. A fantastic finish everywhere you look. Just look at this rear window blind, which closes automatically when a car with high beams is coming from behind. It almost takes too long to mention all the details, but let’s look at one more detail, at least. Here, a bumper built into the car is about to roll out. This also happens automatically, and you can have it out when he parks the car so he won’t get into trouble with other cars hitting him or touching and damaging the paint. A fantastic little detail, and of course quite smart.

The roof can be folded up in this way, and this also happens automatically. As he opens the driver's door, the roof goes up. And he actually spent several months figuring out this solution. Valsjø' Mako Shark is equipped with a 427 cubic inch engine, specially prepared, producing about 560 horsepower with water injection. And the valve covers are coated with 18-carat gold. By the way, the drive shafts are also made of 18-carat gold.

And when it comes to Einar Valsjø, don’t for a moment think that he has only built a show car meant to just sit and gather dust on display, you might say. Because Einar Valsjø uses his car, just like he did with the previous one. And here at Gardermoen, he was generous enough to let the audience have a test ride, showing that there was real power in the V8 engine.

No doubt that Einar Valsjø made a fantastic impression at Gardermoen, and the audience certainly appreciated his demonstration of this beautiful Mako Shark, which will surely win first prizes at exhibitions all over the Nordic countries.
