One question: Can it haul full 4' x 8' sheets of plywood in back? I'm thinking of looking for a new contracting rig...

Super cool and coming along nicely! Don't you hate it when you put in all the time and labor, and the stupid brand-new PART is bad? Hate that.

Yesterday, I located and installed the panic button that controls a relay that will roll down one window in case you lock the keys in the car. Got the remote battery terminal cables run from the new battery to the back. My friend who owns Sound FX came over and helped me figure out the sound system. I will be running a hidden 10" sub in the back, along with a big amp. Also we figured out the placement and wiring of the rear view camera. I will go by on Thursday and pick up all the electronics so I can make the installation before the windows are put in... makes it a ton easier... Reality is setting in... maybe Carlisle NEXT year for this car.

Ok, after talking to the stereo guru, here is what we decided to do.
I removed the rear top of the speaker enclosure. I slid it forward to accomodate a 10 inch sub and enclosure. I installed a 400 watt Memphis amp. Then I replaced the front of the unit. I will fab up a new top and put holes in it under the carpet to let the sub do its thing. I figured if 400 watts was good, then 800 watts is better.
amps on both sides now. I am fabing up a conduit to run under the left window to put all these wires along with my camera stuff in.
Way easier to do this before the windows are installed....
The more I do, the farther completion is.

Hi Randy,

as the Wagoon anyway doesn't make it to Carlisle.....i supose you need a challenge.

Plenty of space in the wagoon which wants to be filled.

Going wild ?!?
He, everybody has carpet. But a wild fiberglass rear-subwoofer-panel ????
Would look pretty cool from the rearwindow:

Could do it in glass, but remember, trying to retain the period... 70s style... and to avoid the "tuner look"

More wiring today.... heat, humidity, and thunderstorms are rough in the south, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Got my command unit back from Dakota Digital.... they said nothing wrong and sent me a new wiring harness.... Installed the harness.... same problem.... hour and a half on the phone talking with two different techs.... final decision... command unit bad.... they are sending me another one. Damn.... time is worth nothing not to mention that people who sell this stuff should know how it works.
Very frustrating at this point.
It has been raining forever....

New command unit came in from Dakota Digital.
Plugged it in and same problem. Completely re wired system for 3rd time. Same problem drivers window will not go up using remote.
Called them. After about another hour, they are sending me a third system... complete... it is an upgraded version like what I put on my street rod.... time will tell.

How frustrating is that?!

At this point, I think I would refuse to use their products on principal... Is there not a comparable/better alternative out there?

Hope the third-and-a-half time's a charm. A man can only take so much...

I have moved the wagon outside and covered it, as with Carlisle looming, I am preping the Can Am to take. After Carlisle, I will again switch positions and put the wagon back in for the duration.
I have the same delimma that all maco builders have.... front end too high! I am going to install the transverse leaf spring set up on the car and that will lower it about 2 inches max. I may then lower the wheel well openings to better fit the wheel area. This could alter the front side appearance... Jury is still out on that. Opinions are always welcome.
On a side note... there are no dropped spindles nor air bags currently available for the C3 chassis that I am aware of.
Cutting springs kills the ride as i have done that before. Also with the C4 front, you will not have springs.
Lets hear it....
