I put the web address on the C3 vr chatline thing the other night. One of the guys said he had one. I guess it might have been this guy's son.I loved the 70's and have done and seen many of this "pannel" type paint jobs. This is still an awesome car after all these years.

Hello everybody! greetings from Norway
Its good to see that you like the car
I will try, with my rusty english, and on behalf of my father to give you some information about the "Wild colors" you call it.
Its built from a 1969 mod By Einar Valsjo who still owns it
427 engine L-88 Aut. transmission
The paint has over 20 layers of "clear paint" over it.
The idea for Einar was to get as close as possible to the GM consept car. After seeing a picture of it in "Hot rod magazine" in 1965 "I tink" He was sold.
All he had was a few pictures and a small scale model car of the maco
People thougt he was crazy, when he started to cut the body of a perfectly good corvette.
In 1976 the first version of the car apeard. He wasn't satisfied for very long time, so he rebuilt it a few years later. Now adding the homemade sidepipes like one of the consepts had, Hidden headlights, new frontgrill, and air intake on the hood. Made in the same style as the sidepipes.
1983 The disaster.... The car vent up in flames in a fire in his own garage.

I will continue later

Roy

Yes please do, many of use are very interested in
replicating the modifications your father made to
this beautifull Vette.

Examples: Hood Scoop Grills, Side Pipes, Front Blinker
Motorized Flaps and Flip up Head Lights just to name a few.

I personaly has always wondered about the Front Blinker
Motorized Flaps that hide the Binkers & flip Up Head Lights.
The bumper looks dead on.

Any info you can shead on some of these topics for me and the
boys here would be greatly appreciated. Photo/Diagrams would
be most awsume.

Thanks for joining up Roy
This is such a fine ride it's hard to tell where the questions
begin and when the curiosity would end.

Andy, they might also be interested in the Shark & Emblems,
just to finnish it off ya know.
