This is the car that is for sale today.

Your suggestion is pure fantasy (not the car for sale) and would be desecrating a complete Maco.

I'm sorry david, did I upset you? Fantacy no! It could be done just the way I explained and I don't think it would be desecrating unless you think the Manta Ray is a bad concept vehical. The only thing you would need after purchasing the car is to buy the rear section and modify it.

I fail to see how that could be fantacy and desecration. The rear of the Maco is basicaly shaped the same as the Manta Ray just chopped and open instead of louvered.

Perhaps that rear on ebay right now would be the perfect candidate for such a modification. Purchasing both to make a Manta Ray. The rear on ebay is cheaper than $3000 for a new rear piece but needs considerable repairs as well.

If Tony should buy the rear, he wont need the louvers, I could buy them from him and all would be right with the world.

There's your silver lining Randy LOL

Besides, the only reason I said chopped is because if you compair the Mako Shark II to the Manta Ray there is an obvious highth difference between the two. The Manta Ray has a shorter roof line than the Mako does and the rear deck wraps around fully like the Manta Rays does unlike the factory C3 Stingray. You'd have to add it and with that rear piece on ebay, that full wrap is already there.

I'm sorry David, I really didn't mean to undermind what you were saying before, just thought that my input about this issue could be understood and appereciated for what it's worth.

Every once in a while it would be awesome to stay on topic.

Fantasy, Yes. Because we are talking about a specific car that is for sale right now on e-bay.

Every once in a while it would be awesome to stay on topic.

Sometimes I wonder if the whole younger generation doesn't suffer from ADD.

Every once in a while it would be awesome to stay on topic.

Tony, this would make an excellent start for the Manta Ray clone... Has the correct rear window treatment to start modifying etc.

You know what, You brought it up. I was just fallowing up with it, didn't realize you'd get upset about it and yes, I do have ADD no fault of my own. It's something your born with, not just because of ignorance.

I'm sorry I won't trash this thread anymore, didn't realize I was doing so the first time but, ok.

Ok, this Half Maco is for sale on ebay, back on topic. It is a nice car though and I also noticed the round turn signals. The guy mentioned a cover for the hood where theirs an opening from a blower that use to be there, I wonder what the cover looks like?

I brought it up in relation to this car. Being a low-class half-Maco, it is the perfect car to convert to a Manta Ray. Having the straight up & down back window, also makes it a perfect candidate for Manta Ray status, as opposed to the late C3's with their long back window.

Yeah I never did like the domed rear glass window hatchback style but loved the flat glass rear deck window like in this half Maco thats for sale.

Not be off topic but this relates back to the modification that we were speaking about before. The Maco rear would be ideal for the start instead of the factory rear. See attached photo for example.

Sorry David, I just had to add this about this topic.
