New to the forum. I have a 72 Vette with a Mako style front and what looks like an old Z28 rear spoiler. It been garaged for the past 10 yrs and I'm just getting it rdy to run again. I'll post more about it later gtg for now.

Heres another pic or 2. As I said I'm in the process of getting this car going again. It needed a master cyl, vacuum booster, all fluids removed and chged. The actually new 650 double pumper was varnished over so it was taken down and cleaned.

I have a pretty stout 350 in it. I'm trying to remember everything we did to the engine just before I stopped driving the car over 10 yrs ago. It has 10:1 forged flattop pistons, heads were complete rebuilt and iirc had 25k taken off it to boost a little compression. Chrome moly everything also inside with iirc a Comp Cam 280H cam. It has a set of Hooker headers and a TCI 2500-3500rpm stall converter.

I just ordered a new set of American Racing Wheels in 17" and a set of Fusion 255/50 17 for the rubber for at least this set.

Cool! And welcome!

Send me some more pictures via e-mail (or upload them to your site & I'll download them from there) and I'll make you an owner page about your car!

David

Yes more pics. I need to get the car on the road 1st. My kids over the yrs have scratched the car up and its going to need a new paint job along with a ton of other stuff.

I was going to buy a 2005 in a couple yrs when I retired but after thinking about what that would cost and that it would be just another Corvette after a while I'm going with the old Shark. When I was driving the car back in the 80s and early 90s people would freak out on this car. This body style is by far IMHO the coolest looking Corvette ever made.

I'm going to try to make this car like new in and out. Thats going to take alot of time since I need to find people to do a total interior rework and haven't a clue who to get and what it should cost.

I see alot of talk about differant mfgs of Sharks. IIRC when my bro in law added the front end he said he went to Tenn to get it. He also said he wanted a differant look and went with the headlights cut into the front like you see. Anyone got any info on what my front is?

By the lack of dips in the hood, it looks like yours is a Bohannan Concepts front (see Randy's owner page also).

You can get the rear from Bohannan Concepts in Cookeville TN.

The Geiger rear that you like so well is from Germany. Shipping costs would probably be rather high.

Make sure you take plenty of pictures of the way it is today... that is one thing that I regret about my '68 Camaro... I didn't take enough "before" shots.

You'd be suprised how good things look in photos anyway.
