I remember the car to have a bunch of nicks and chips on it.
Its dumb to run without air filters.
Anyway, great job on bringing this to light, I guess it is the icon of the custom corvette world since it has some movie history. Everybody recognizes it.
That article is pretty much the same as the stories I have heard about the car.

Need help.
I'm starting a new project. I was working on a 66 Batmobile.
and now I would like to build the Corvette Summer car.
I have a good doner a 71 stingray to cut up.
But I'm having problems on the mock up.
What did korky use for the front bazel and marker light ??
1975 was the first year for squire headlights on us cars. ( I think )
And the movie was 1978. That's only 3 years of car he could have used.
I've searched the net, this forum, and Ebay motor.
And still can't find it.The Chevy caprice is close if you heat and
bend in, but not close enough.
I will probley use 75 Monza headlight buckets and make the marker lights
if no one knows.or knows of a good link.
Thank you . I hope someone reads this.

If you can work fiberglass, you aren't restricted to any specific year headlight buckets. All you have to do is go to your local Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, NAPA, etc. and purchase a set of bright rectangular headlights that you like... purchase the wiring connectors and make your own buckets.

Obviously it would be good to have the adjustors, so ask what year the lights work with and go to a late model junkyard and get them there. Obviously, you could pick up the head lights & wiring connectors at a junkyard as well...

I'm assuming you know how to work with fiberglass... otherwise...

Headlight buckets are no problem. It's the marker lights i'm having
problems identifying.

They probably just frabricated them from orange acrylic plexiglass. Looks like a pretty simple shape to cut... if you want beveled edges, then just heat with a blow dryer/heater & bend.
