This is a collection of photos of various Mako Sharks taken by Harry H. McD I
I don't want to talk about the plum roadster, thats A sore spot, that car was built by "Thunder Road" in Dunstable MA.
These guy are the best, Dan and Mike Hogan, I located A 75 black and red original silva maco, 350 4spd in NH.
The guy says he'll give it to me for $6500, I couldn't sell that roadster fast enough,
When I did, the guy in NH. changed his mind.
That's my luck, that roadster was turnkey, needed nothing, except maybe A mako rear clip.
Oh well thats my cross to bare,
The black Maco with the vega tail lights belongs to Bob Robillard of Watertown MA, still has it,
stores it on the cape at his parents home winters,
there are pictures of the two of them together, my plum roadster,
and his from one spring when I drove him down there to take it out of storage for the cruise season.
The picture with the hoods open was taken at A cruise night we in Tewksbury MA.
The blue and white one was sold before I got there and shipped to florida some where.
It is A 68 327 4spd. obviously a silva build, You remember I told you these cars are out there.
Its your level of dedication to locating them, I don't mean to sound corny or anything,
You know what I did once, placed an ad in the local autohunter, with A picture of A maco/mako,
the ad read, Wanted "Mako shark" got some calls, some stories.
One guy called me from Florida said he had had A high dollar show Mako.
$20,000 invested, but it had been rear ended in A parade, needed frame work.
