Well, I have about a dozen folks who might be interested in this total. I have emailed the jewler again this AM to see if he will come down in price. I'll keep folks posted here as well. if someone belongs to Corvette Forum, Corvette Action Center etc., and can post a topic about this to see if any additional folks who might be interested, I would appreciate. Those folks can email me directly at: c3sharkattack@yahoo.com Andy

Evening all....I am including the email that I received from the jewler who did the SHARK emblems for us. Please see below: _____________________________________________________________ Bill...Greetings....Does this price still stand? I have about a dozen guys > who are interested in this....Just need to know from your perspective..I > thought I would have many more interested parties. > > Please let me know.... > > Andy Rumford > > -------------- Original message -------------- > From: bill@taylorcustom.com > > > Hi Andy, > > > > OK, so this is back to a 6 piece set rather than 8. Creation of insurance prototype: $100 > > c.) 1 Hour additional carving labor: $100 > > > > So add $425 + $2620 = $3045. > > > > Want to have a go? Let me know. > > > > Regards, > > Bill ____________________________________________________________________ OK, so now we know that this jewler can do the job for $3,045.00 We so far have 14 people interested with Eric as a MAYBE...
Also, I'm NOT making anything on this transaction..Kinda wanted to make that clear...OK? So, what do we do? If we have 14/$3,045.00..that comes out to be $217.50. If Eric joins in, the price drops to $203.00 Thoughts???? This will be one project, that I don't mind doing and seeing through, but unlike the sharks, I would like to collect the MONEY upfront to ensure payment from everyone.. :)

LAST EDITED ON Jul-04-06 AT 05:15 AM (EDT) Hi Jim!!!! Morning..The issue before with the Zinc on the SHARKS was the thickness of the body. If you take a look at the sharks, you'll notice the Chrome plating on the fins and places where the material is thinner chromed fine...It comes down to the cooling process. I will MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE from the Jewler that this will NOT be an issue with the script. They do a mockup of the script, will cast it, plate it and send it to me for OUR approval. I'll take several digital pics, post them here and the membership can decide for themselves if this is good enough. I have been assured, though, that because the script is thin, it's a non issue. Also, If the group here decides to go ahead with this project and we do get the scripts back and they are NOT what we want, I'll MAKE SURE the contract between the jewler and myself stipulates "ALL MONIES WILL BE RETURNED " Hope this helps. Andy
