I'm interested.

One thing to see about is if there is a way for the maker to add pins for mounting more securely. I'd have liked to have those on the sharks.

Morning All....

For those who are interested in the "script".....Their looks to be 2 different pics of the Roman Numeral II.....One looks attached , the other looks detached....Carver just needs to know which one that we are interested in........

Would appreciate your comments.

Thanks,

Andy

From what I am aware of and I have spent countless hours, days
and even months studying this car that in every photo I've ever
seen it's always been a seperate piece. Mako. Shark. II.

If you have an image of it attached, I'd love to see it.

I hate to tell you this but the script your using is from
the 1961 Mako Shark #1 the first Mako.

This is the 1965 Mako Shark #2
Please note that the "M" is not seperate but the "II" is.

Do you see the defferance between the two now?
The II has sharper points on the M and to the
rest of the script while the first Mako's
script is tamer.

Also notice that the last "K", the one on "Shark"
streches farther out.

We are going for the 65 Mako Shark II's script right
and not the prior modles 61 script?

My vote would be for the 65 script with a detached II.I like the more agresive look over the first Mako script.

It gets even deeper than that.I have seen 2 different msII scripts. The deuce had two seperate scripts on it.I believe they were both on the original(possibly due to a repaint/restoration),or it may have been a Silva,or Motion deal.I'm not sure which. The shark Andy made is from the shark I photo, but I have seen the MSII with the same shark, as in the photo above.Hummmmm?????????

Yes, the 61 and 65 both had the same shark the only
diffrance is the script. Yes the Mako Shark II had
been restored/modified once but it's script remained
the same to a degree. I have recovered photo's from
one of my drives showing all stages of the
Mako Shark II's life span including it's current
state as the Manta Ray.

The Mako Shark II in all of it's glory had been
modified only three times in it's life.

I have yet to ever see the Mako Shark II's script
in any other style or font but, admits that I may
not have seen everything and that anything is
possible. Attached to this posting are the examples.

For the most part, what I believe we are trying to
achive is the 65 but, this idea is still on the table.
If anybody here that plans to invest has anything to
input, now is the time to act.

For the record and this is just my input, I suggest
that the carvers script model be revised to the 65
version with Mako. Shark. & II. being all seperate
with the agressive 65 script theme after the
modifications in 68.

Attached is first 61 MSI script which the carver
already has. Second is the photo you've already seen
of the 65 which is the correct MSII script before it's
modifications in 68. Third is the final stage of the
MSII's script with the more agressive appeal.

Notice that the 65 Mako Shark II's shark differs from
the 61 but is corrected after the modifications were
done in 68.

Also notice that the jutting of the last "K" is even
farther out than in the MSI, first stage MSII and
also what the carver currently has as a template.
One would say the "K" is a tail. I bring this up for
all to see so as to not just take my word on it.

I have religiously studied these beasts and self
proclaimed "has eyes for the details".

You be the judge.

McBrain
