The sad part for the seller is that even if it was genuinely an ultra-low milage Corvette, he's lost all credibility right out of the gate with the BS story. So many of these guys have either been sold a bill of goods, or are trying to sell someone else the same bogus bill of goods. Nice Corvette for $10-12K. In my opinion, of course. Bro' FF

That is really a crap what this "Dealer" writes. I remember very well that a friend of mine ordered exactly that rear-spoiler in USA a couple of years ago. And a fierglass-pro moulded it on his 70-Vette. For sure this no Dealer built car. Also the hood has at all nothing to do with a Mako. What concers, why a dealer doesnt tell the frame-number ? But may then the car can be traced back !! Too, why a dealer doesnt show the problem zones of a Vette, Window-frame, Frame behind the doors etc ? A 69-Vette stored for 25 years in this condition, well wonders exist. Maybe it was in a climated room with controlled humidity !! But still remains 15 years of usage, means by 6965 miles a yearly average of 464 miles. As a california-car with lets say 50 nice and dry weekend days (well maybe a few less) means a average miles per day of 9,3 miles !!!! Nock, nock...nockTons of questions, but i for sure never would pay 25K for a heavily customzed Car. For 5 to 10K less a solid car can be purchased.

I think people have the wrong idea about me and my desires, I am actually selling off my kit car and vette stuff, ( will remain staff on Priceofhistoys.com ) Health and life is keeping me busy and all my "Yard art" has to go, I want one car to drive while I tinker on it,This is a very nice Montage ( good price too ) but I have pretty much been there done that with VW stuff, I am going back and fixing my past mistakes, I miss my 72 Corvette Convertible the most of all my cars ( sold over 20 years ago ) so I am in the market for a 68-75 vert to add a Mako kit to, in fact if it all works out the kit that just popped up on here, which I am trying to work out a deal on, I am small time in a fiberglass business and in a year from now I would like to be able to offer all the old custom c3 stuff at a good hobbyist price, so even the builder on a budget can see his dreams come true, I realize the trend is stock and I might be lucky to sell one of this or that part a year but when the custom fan wants it I will be able to offer it, The car I stated this thread on is a very nice off the shelf Ecklers custom too bad the ad and the price ruins it. ...We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of the dreams...

Looks like we have two similaritys. I too had a 72 LT-1 and sold it a few years ago for just 8000 swiss Francs. When seeing todays market-prices i have to admit i was a stupid then. Hope you manage with your deal, cause then maybe i´ll be a potential customer. Looking around for a Mako with allmost no success and now since few weeks for a solid base car. Really wish you good luck for the deal. , also with a bith of self interest. Greetings Robert
