"Streamliner update."
Sep-17-14, 10:34 AM (EDT)
Finally got the Streamliner back from the glass shop.
They installed new windshield and all glass on the wagon clip.
I have it backed up on the lift and prepairing to reinstall the front maco hood.
I am changing the set up and will be using my own hinges and the front piece from my Bohannon maco... not the glass but the front support. pics soon.

today I actually switched the front end radiator supports from the Bohannon Maco that I have to the streamliner. I did this in order to make another attempt to mount the front end so I get the best clearance, lift, and stability when the nose is up in the air.
I will attempt to use my "Randy Hinge" that I made years ago.
I will post some pics as I go along, but first I have to go to a welding shop to have the base of the hinges torched off the old bracketry. Then I have to modify my maco hood to accept the hinge system. I have to remove this mickey mouse set up.
Note: there is nothing wrong with using "reversed" car hood hinges,
but they tend to be quite flimsy, thats why I developed this hinge.
Now with that said, I may decide to take these hinges apart and make another set of plans to share. When I did this years ago, it met with some negative comments. Hey, just trying to help folks out will get you shot in the foot sometimes.
I also will try to do better about getting the site more active. Been selfish and neglecting it too.
More to follow.

I may have solved my 4 wheel drive look on the streamliner.
I have already lowered the tire wheelwell gap by 3 inches. It was
really simple and I don't know why we didn't think of it before.
Hint... it will require some painting, but what a difference.
Almost as boring as all the hinge stuff I posted.
No pics yet, waiting for the finished product.
More later.

Now that makes me very interested Randy.
Never liked that big gap between the fender and tire.

Now that the Christmas light stuff is put away, I will be back on the Corvette once my hand heals enough to hold tools. I still need an Air Compressor, but that will come. I have removed the grille and have about 75% of it polished. Looks good tracings have been made.
I am trying to get some stuff done. My goal is for Carisle this year.

Well, I am finally back on the wagon.
kinda...
started doing research on a new induction system.
Also working on a super trick shifter set up.
As I am selling excess parts, I am taking the money and
buying stuff for the wagon.
I really would like to have it ready for Carlisle.
Right now, I am swamped doing my Christmas Display.
whoo hoo!
