I never knew the Silva had such a high rise to the hood. /:\

Thats one of the things I really like about this mako............. the hood doesn't have the double box like the rest of them ! That angle really shows how high the hood is.......... can't wait till the final paint is accenting all those curves......SWEET !!!

Rick!!! You are putting the rest of us to shame! Sure looks great!
You're right...does look alot different with a solid color.
Your hard work is showing and the project is coming together.
I like your idea for portable shelter...may have to try that myself.
Keep up the great work. Marv

If anything he's making us look better because he is a member
of this site and he has a car coming together very nicely so far.
No doubts the ending results will be very sweet indeed.

Just ribbin ya a little, I knew you meant it in a good way.

I have those 68 Firebird tail lights too, so your stickin to those
lights? I plan a custom job... Once I can pick myself up off the
ground. Divorce sucks.

I hadn't thought about it in that way, but you're right Bryan,
members like Rick & Carl and others are actually focused enough to
get work done on their projects. Hopefully more Mako and custom Vette owners will stop by and become members of MS2 as a result of progress being done on these fine specialty vehicles.

Now...if I can just get past working on the '75 all of the time,
I may get back to the widebody...

Gotta focus...

Thanx for the compliments guys.............. I keep trying to push forward! Filled thousands of pinholes and block sanded........ primed again this past weekend. Still got more pinholes to fill... coming slowly. Stripped the paint off the louvers on Monday -- I knew they were going to be a PITA, so I put it off, but it went pretty well. Had some fiberglass repair to do and now I'm filling, sanding and smoothing.......... starting to look pretty good !

Bryan................ keep the faith -- look for a lawyer, you've got to. Divorce was the best thing I ever did..........you've put up with too much crap for too long ! Life gets better !!! Rick

Damn Randy, you beat me to the punch! I was hoping to get next in line.

Car looks fantastic, sits right, has a great aggressive stance/flares/gills, I love it.

Got the inner fender wells repaired............ someone had cut the backs out to open a stuck hood.

I want to thank Mack Massengill (CorvetteMack on ebay !) for help with this. I've gotten a bunch of parts from him over the last couple of years and he gave me the rear piece from an right inner fender for the cost of shipping alone ! Thanx Mack !!!

I used the top section to replace what was missing and then used the bottom section (turned upside down) to repair the drivers side. Turned out pretty well !
