Meeting

    Date: 28 September 2002
    Location: Coleman's Lake
Time: 4:00 PM (from Sam's Club)

Since the service and some of the meals at McKinney's Pond was not of the highest quality and since I've had numerous comments on how much better Coleman's Lake is, let's make the trip there for this meeting.   We will depart at 4pm from parking lot (in front of the lawn mower repair shop) just up from Sam's.   Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we can drive our Corvettes!   Please let me know if you're going to make this trip or not.   In other words, negative responses would be nice also.   I will have to make reservations.   Responses, positive or negative should be made NLT 22 September.

August Meeting

Once again, we schedule a road trip and it rains!   In any case, we still made the trip to McKinney's pond in vehicles other than our Vettes.   We had a nice turnout, including our members from Louisville.

New Members

The club would like to welcome Wayne & Martha Jo Baker, owners of a 1988 coupe.   Welcome to Bruce & Georgina Bryant, owners of a 1993 coupe.

Club Shirts & Hats

I'm preparing another order for club shirts and hats.   If you have not ordered a shirt or emailed me with a particular size/color, please do so immediately.

Club Web Site

If you have not recently viewed our club web page at www.makoshark2.com/augusta, please do so.   David Junod has done a excellent job in creating and improving it continuously.   I, as club president, am sure we all do, appreciate his efforts.

Meeting Locations

Once again, good weather is upon us.   So now is the time for the club to start making road cruises to different locations throughout the CSRA and beyond.   I have several suggestions that we need to decide on (Macon Country Music Hall of Fame and a trip to Road Atlanta in October).   The trip to Road Atlanta would probably be an overnighter.   If you recommend a road trip to a particular location, please be prepared to lead the way.

Club Elections

The office of Vice President and Governor will be up for election this year.   If you are going to be interested in running for one of these club offices, please be sure to review what your duties will be in the Club Bylaws currently available on the club web site.   These are important positions to the club!

Annual Club BBQ

The Club BBQ is currently being planned for sometime in September at Bob & Diane Peterson's house.   As usual, the club will provide the meat and fixings, and you must provide any alcoholic beverage that you wish to consume.   Those responsible for determining the date and menu should finalize the plans with haste.
