We will depart at 3:30pm for the trip to McKinney's Pond. The location, from which we will depart, to be determined. I have not been to McKinney's Pond for several years; so if anyone knows the way, please let me know. Otherwise, I will make a preliminary trip prior to the meeting. If you are going to make this trip, please let me know prior to the 20th of August, as we will probably need to make reservations.

Seven members displayed their cars in the Augusta Mall, 18 - 21 July. The show was a success. I would like to extend my thanks and gratitude to all that participated on such a short notice, with a special thanks to Russell Blandin, who made numerous calls to the Mall management setting up the show, and to Alex Simeneta and Bob Peterson, whom spent an extreme amount of hours in the Mall during the show watching and keeping the cars dust free and answering numerous questions from Mall customers. We received several inquiries about joining the club and I have sent additional information about the club to the interested parties. Let's see how many responses we receive.

John and Sandy Jackson recently made the trip to Lake Murray for lunch. To say the least, they were not impressed! Seems like the rain that occurred during our initial trip, saved us from a major disappointment.

The club would like this opportunity to welcome Darron and Brenda Starling to the club. Darron joined the club during the Mall show and displayed his car. Darron is the owner of a 1965 white convertible in mint condition. The club would also like to extend a warm welcome to Robert Bledsoe. Robert joined the club a few month's back and for the life of me, I cannot recall if we officially welcomed him. Robert is the owner of a 1979 black coupe.

Once again, good weather is upon us. So now is the time for the club to start making road cruises to different locations throughout the CSRA and beyond. I have several suggestions that we need to decide on (Macon Country Music Hall of Fame and a trip to Road Atlanta in October). The trip to Road Atlanta would probably be an overnighter. If you recommend a road trip to a particular location, please be prepared to lead the way.

The office of Vice President and Governor will be up for election this year. If you are going to be interested in running for one of these club offices, please be sure to review what your duties will be in the Club Bylaws currently available on the club web site. These are important positions to the club!

The Club BBQ is currently being planned for sometime in September at Bob and Diane Peterson's house. As usual, the club will provide the meat and fixings, and you must provide any alcoholic beverage that you wish to consume.
